Burroughs was unable to close the gap in the second half, and by the 2:30 mark of the fourth quarter both teams were clearing their benches, with San Clemente leading by 21.
Five Tritons scored in double figures, led by Blake Birmingham with 14. Dillon Waikle added 13; Cole Fotheringham, 12; and Gage Shelmidine and Jake Cameron, 10 each. Fotheringham's points came as part of his second double-double of the season as he recorded 12 rebounds. Additional San Clemente scoring came from Aidan Butler with 4 points and James Paterson, Roberto Medrano and Michael Moran with 2 each.
