Not to worry, if you're a Triton fan. The starters led the team on a 27-7 run over the rest of the second period and through the third quarter to give San Clemente a comfortable 49-29 lead heading to the fourth period. The majority of Triton baskets came on layups as a result of defensive pressure. The team had 21 steals, paced by Licht's six and five each from Joey Giazzon and Jake Russell.
San Clemente pulled its starters in the fourth period as the two teams played even to the final buzzer. Forward Dean Licht led Triton scorer with 16 points, while hitting six of seven field goal attempts and both of his free throws. His loan miss was on a three pointer, of which he made two. Tyler Voigt was the other Triton in double figures with 13. Daniel Klevit added 9; Cullen Tayrien and Marcus Wilson, 8 each; Shaughn Ritchie, 4; Jake Cameron, 3; and Russell, 2. Russell was the team's assist leader with five. Klevit led Triton rebounders with seven.
