Also with nine rebounds was second-leading scorer Dillon Waikle, who had 12 points. Lukas Katsandris saw extra court time because of the foul trouble of starting center Donte Harrington, who was disqualified with more than 11 minutes remaining in the game. Katsandris responded with 11 rebounds to go with seven points for his near double-double.
Finally, point guard Dylan Hauser, still hobbled by an ailing lower back, chose to distribute the ball, recording nine assists to go with his 10 points on only three field goal attempts. He had missed an odd-ball double-double by one steal in the previous game. Andrew Frohner also was a double-figure scorer with 10 points. Brad Ross with three and Justin Kowalski with 1 rounded out the Triton scoring.
San Clemente led 25-19 at the half, then blew the game open during a 16-7 third quarter to lead 41-26 going to the fourth. Los Alamitos got hot from three-point range in the fourth, closing to within eight before the Tritons settled down and closed things out at the free throw line.
