Two-sport star Cole Fotheringham, a power forward in basketball and tight end in football, has committed to play college football for the University of Utah. The 6-5, 225 pound senior will be a four-year varsity letterman in basketball, where he earned all-league second team honors during the 2013-14 season. He is one of only three basketball players in school history to win two varsity league championships (2013 and 2015).
In football, he was an all-league selection last season and the favorite target of Sam Darnold on the Tritons' CIF runnerup squad. At Utah, he will be joining another Triton, senior offensive lineman Tucker Scott, who also played junior varsity basketball during the 2013-14 season.
Fotheringham also had offer from BYU, Boise State and Utah State, and was on the watch list for a number of other PAC 12 schools.
