The team's regular formula of pressure defense and fast-break offense staked them to the early lead. But the turnover bug eventually bit them, allowing Tesoro to get back with five midway through the third period. To close out the game in the fourth, Coach Matt Miller went with perhaps his most physical lineup combination of Daniel Klevit, Jake Russell, Cullen Tayrien, Tyler Voigt and Marcus Wilson. They managed to hold off any further Tesoro runs for the victory.
Voigt's 22 points was the highest point total for any Triton player in any division so far this season. He was backed by Wilson who had his best game as a Triton with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Not to be outdone, Klevit posted a near triple-double with 12 points, 17 rebounds and 8 assists. Additional Triton scoring came from Jake Cameron with 7; Dean Licht, 6; Ryan Martinez and Tayrien, 5 each; Brandon Reaves and Jake Russell, 2 each. Russell also had 7 assists and 4 steals.
