The loss drops the defending league champion Triton J.V. to 1-2 in league, 13-7 overall.
After the game, Dana Hills fans acknowledged that their strategy all along had been to foul out Klevit. Twice, once in both the second and third quarters, Dolphin players intentionally hooked the Triton forward's arms on rebound attempts, then pulled him on top of them, with the result being foul calls on Klevit. The second of these included a technical foul which was his fifth overall, resulting in Klevit's elimination.
Despite missing the final 11 minutes of action, he still wound up leading the team in scoring, 11, and rebounds, 8. Tyler Voigt was the only other Triton in double figures with 10. Jake Russell added 9; Jake Cameron, 8; Marcus Wilson, 7' Joey Giazzon, 6; Brandon Reaves, 5; and Dean Licht, 2. Wilson and Giazzon contributed 7 and 6 rebounds, respectively.
