The Tritons jumped out to a 24-7 lead, then withstood a 9-0 Stallions run. Then they outscored San Juan Hills 34-11 the rest of the way. The Stallions only scored in double figures in one period, the second. Otherwise, they scored no more than seven points in a period and totaled only nine in the entire second half.
Leading San Clemente scorers was Blake Birmingham with 17. He left the game early in third quarter with a mild concussion and did not return. Jake Cameron added nine and Dylan Hauser six. Additional Triton scoring came from Brad Ross, five; Daniel Mircheff and James VanGinkel, four each; Evan Banks and Isaac Rex, three each; Ricardo Ashe and Chadwell Walker, two each; and Joey Spurgeon, one.
